I was chosen as one of 39 young women that will set out on foot over a 21 day period, March 17-April 06, 2012, for a 250 mile prayer journey from Houston, Texas - home to our nation's largest Planned Parenthood facility - to the Dallas, Texas Courthouse - the birthplace of Roe v. Wade - to depict the tragic journey of legalized abortion in our nation. The 39 young women each signify a year marked by Roe v. Wade. We will be launched on this 250 mile prayer journey from Houston in front of the Planned Parenthood facility with thousands of people from around Texas who will be gathered there for a prayer rally.
In response to this corruption, the vision of the Back to Life Movement will, for the very first time in our nation's abortion discussion, empower the specific demographic that the abortion industry is relentlessly targeting - the young minority female voice. During the prayer journey a video documentary team with an internet channel will stream the journey live, daily featuring a young women's account of how abortion has affected her life and why she has made the sacrifice to walk. When we reach Dallas, we are seeking to gather tens of thousands of people from around the nation to gather for a 12-hour solemn assembly to fast, pray, and stand for the ending of abortion in America.
WOMEN IN THEIR 20'S ACCOUNT FOR 56% OF ALL U.S. ABORTIONS
1 in every 3 Hispanic pregnancies ends in abortion
1 in every 2 African American pregnancies ends in abortion
"Back to Life is a young women's pro-life movement fashioned to awaken America's conscience to the injustices of abortion by amplifying the young female voice."
As this "fresh face" of the pro-life community is introduced to the abortion debate, it will undoubtedly assure Planned Parenthood, the abortion industry, and it's supporters that young women in this nation who believe in the right to life will no longer be the pawns of an industry that is targeting their communities.
This historic trek will require men and women, young and old, black and white, to see the far reaching success that we anticipate. The overall budget for these three life-changing events is in excess of $400,000. The walkers must each raise $1,500 to go toward the budget. These funds will go towards marketing, production, mobilization, accommodations for the 39 young women during our prayer journey, logistics, city and state permits, transpiration etc. I'm seeking 250 donors for each mile that I walk. Please prayerfully support this movement financially with any amount. No gift is too small or too large. You may donate a couple of ways: online at www.backtolifemovement.com. Please reference in the "notes" walker ID #BTL022; or mail checks/money orders to Back to Life Movement, Re: BTL Walker 022, PO Box 1972, Cedar Hill, TX, 75106, USA. All donations and gifts are tax-deductible. Tax deductible checks can be made payable to:Back to Life.
Thank you for prayerfully considering this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape history with us for the Back to Life Movement.
We have a pre-emptive strategy on the cusp of a milestone in American history: the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. The abortion industry grows at unprecedented levels, and this long-standing, twisted pattern rooted in eugenics can no longer be ignored.
Together we will be a part of ending the culture of loss and death that has lingered over the nation for far too long. Together we will call the nation...Back to Life!
For my generation,
Star Williams, Back to Life Walker
