Community Liaisons

rsz chris and johnChristy and John Johnson

As a writer, speaker and mentor, Christy Johnson is passionate about sharing how to have joy in the midst of life’s difficulties. Her audiences have ranged from women’s groups, single’s groups, high school audiences and DUI offenders. She's had the privilege of sharing her testimony on TBN as well as on local radio broadcasts.

She serves on the board for Revive Ministries, an Oklahoma based non-profit ministry formed to equip women to transform their community. She also speaks for Stonecroft Ministries and teachTitus 2, a women's class at Victory Church.

Christy believes the greatest ministry takes place outside of the sanctuary. She's spoken frequently for Victim’s Impact Panel, an organization that promotes awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence. In 2001, VIP featured a tribute to her son Jake on their annual video. So many don't realize the dangers of driving under the influence until it's too late. Her prayer is that Jakes' story can save others from making a dangerous mistake.

Christy and husband, John, and have ministered in Victory’s single’s ministry for five years in a preaching and teaching capacity. For several years, they taught Choosing God’s Best, a course offered through Victory Life Ministries based on the book Choosing God’s Best by Dr. Rannikar. Together they share a passion to see the lives of single men and women prosper. Currently, they help lead a recovery group at The Pershing Center, a 2-year residential program for people transitioning out of homelessness and recovering from addictions.
